The board of experts is comprised of three leading Cardiologists who are experts in their own
sub-specialities within Cardiology.

Cardea Health, a Cardiology centric platform, has
strengthened its advisory group bench strength by creating a Product Advisory Board. Dr. Jason
Burstein – Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Amir Janmohamed – Electrophysiology and Dr. Kibar
Yared – Cardiac Imaging will add their subject matter expertise to support Dr. Andrew Yadegari,
the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Information Officer of Cardea Health in the product
development of FLOW, Cardea Health’s flagship product.
FLOW was designed by Dr. Yadegari, to tackle the overwhelming burden of managing
operational and administrative workflow tasks on Cardiac physicians, Cardiologists and Internal
Medicine physicians who oversee Cardiac patients. “Prior to creating FLOW, we spent over a
year reviewing several technology solutions that attempted to cater to Cardiac physicians
working within an outpatient environment, be it a private clinic or hospital.” Explained Dr.
Yadegari. “ To my surprise, all the Advanced Clinical Decision Support Platforms (ACDSP) we
saw had the same philosophy, `jack of all specialities but master of none.’”
It was during this research phase both Dr. Yadegari and his Co-Founder, Mr. Naveed Ahmad
decided to create FLOW. The vision for FLOW is to provide physicians with real-time actionable
insights on a single pane of glass so that they could improve the quality of care for their Cardiac
outpatient population. “The greatest challenge for us in designing FLOW was to ensure that our
solution focused solely on the Cardiologist’s experience while conducting their patient consult.”
Shares Mr. Ahmad. “Once the initial wireframes had been completed we user-tested our
solution with a diverse group of Cardiologists and Internal Medicine physicians across Canada
and the United States including members of our Advisory Board.
Cardea Health’s first Strategy Advisor came on board in January 2022 and has been
instrumental to providing guidance to the team since that time. Mr. Dennis Giokas, a seasoned
veteran within the health-tech space, spent over 12 years as CTO of Canada Health Infoway
before transitioning to the role of Chief Information Officer with Medchart. He has served as a
board director of COACH, Canada’s health informatics association, and HL7 International Inc. He
is the past chair and Canada’s representative to the SNOMED International General Assembly.
Mr. Giokas has a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Boston University.
